I just had an opportunity to visit TechReady(internal version of TechEd) and it was amazing.  Although the events are quite different as far as audience, size etc.  they are fundamentally the same.  I was able to see all of things we talk about in our core team meetings and how they relate.   Think about the logistics to be able to feed 14,000 people alone.   

 

Several of our track owners work on both TechEd and TechReady so they have been busy this week.   At the same time they are working on the content that will be delivered at TechEd 2007 and let me tell you, there are so many details involved with putting together the right combination of sessions.    There are so many creative ideas to look at.   I keep being told,  wait until February...it is going to get busy so I expect the pace to quicken, the excitement to rise and the experience to be memorable.   Monica W. I am new to Microsoft and new to TechEd, joining the content team last October.  So far, I have loved working on the content team helping to drive and develop the story told at TechEd.   One of the really fun things that I am working on is developing this forum for the core TechEd team to share their experiences with putting this event on.   A peek behind the scenes if you will.  For the first time we will share videos and pictures of some of the highlights from the team, from site visits to on campus meetings.   From what I have seen, they are a very dedicated and driven group of people.  They have shown great enthusiasm and passion in trying to make sure the event goes off smoothly and that our customers get the most out of the week they spend with us.  After seeing the space in Orlando I can see what a big job this is and getting a clear picture of all the moving parts...it is incredible.    With great excitement...Monica W.
