    Keynote Going Widescreen

    TechEd Keynote - Going Widescreen

In an age when it's not hip unless it's "Hi Def" or "Widescreen Format", this year the TechEd Keynote content on all screens will be in a 16x9 format.  We expect the screens to pop out with clarity and brightness to our audience.  There have been many discussions on moving to this format for all events, however the AV world and the computer video card world are really just beginning to line up so that we can show content in its best light.  For those of you have a plasma, LCD or DLP television that can display HD content, the question is "would you go back to your old television set with a 4x3 rounded screen?"  I would argue that this would be difficult to do and the answer would be a definate "NO!"  So why should our events and screens we use be any different?  They shouldn't!

Look for both the webcast and the screens onsite to have the new welcomed standard of 16x9 format this year!

No more paper, every workstation (all 1200 of them) has dual monitors with live updating manuals.  You get more than a lab manaul and a virtual machine, you get whitepapers, blogs, webcasts, websites, all one click away from landing in your mailbox.  Read them in the labs or send them straight home for reading later.  You can comment on a lab as you do it, and read comments, see eval scores, and preview content before you decide to start a lab.  You can start a lab, save it, and come back later on any computer to finish it.  You can receive SMS or EMail alerts if new labs become available.

Who's there to support you while you do this, only 85 of the top Microsoft Certified Trainers in the world.  Selected from a pool of over 300 applicants, many of these people are noted authors, speakers, MVP's, and hold about every IT certification known to man.  They come from 15 countries and speak over 20 languages.

Rather see a presenter, go to the Instructor Led Labs.  See the same Microsoft Certified Trainers in their element as they present the top rated, and most requested labs, adding even deeper technical information and background.  Get the best of both worlds, in one of the 4, 100 seat classrooms.

Why hear about something on a powerpoint deck, when you can DO it for yourself.  See you there...
